the link below is where the article is from
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com ... -headlines
"...Could the Timberwolves be so bereft of ideas and motivation they'd continue the way they are going? Their hand may finally be forced because friends believe Garnett will force his way out after this season. Given his opt-out status, it's too big a risk for almost any team to offer much for Garnett. Except one: The Lakers. Garnett lives in Malibu and is known to be coveted by the Lakers, among others, of course. And Kobe Bryant would be the perfect teammate given he is the finisher Garnett lacks.
So here's the deal: It's clear Lakers center Andrew Bynum is a few years away, and coach Phil Jackson and Bryant are getting anxious. So package Bynum, Kwame Brown, Mo Evans, Brian Cook and Sasha Vujacic, plus a first-round draft pick for Garnett."
Would you guys give up so much for KG? I wouldn't. |

| That'd be great having KG, seeing the circumstances that he lives nearby and is opting out. but we're losing too much, and it's really not like we need to have him... So Idk, if we do decide to go with the deal, so be it, but keep in mind that we're losing our role-players in the bench... |

| We're losing too much depth with that package just for one person. We gave up Shaq for 3 people and we only have one of them now. The only person the T-wolves want is Bynum. Give him up and all the players that dont play defense like Cookie, Smush, and Vlad. Then give them all of our picks cuz we arent gonna need em with Garnett teaming up with Kobe. Then again just like Pinoy put it we dont really need him. Just alil suggestion if we do want him |

i wouldn't give all those players listed for KG. boz is right, we should give em Bynum plus those players that wont really hurt us if we lose them. i wouldn't give them Mo, or Kwame.
also, do they have a pg they can offer us in a package deal? |

| Well its good that we don't give up LO cause i would like to see how we do with KG, LO, and Kobe in the line-up together, KG can play center so we could give up bynum, but i would like to see us keep Kwame, i would take him over Bynum any day. I know time will tell with Bynum...but Kwame is young too and he has been in the Nba a long time...so give up Bynum, Vlad, Sasha, Smush, and a pick for KG, maybe James, or Blount for another big man, or someone else. |

| agree with Kannoni and Cali Boi... a package deal sounds good including Mike James... same here, Kannoni, i totally agree bout keeping Kwame. He is really good against top notch big players like Timmy Duncan... |

| yes, Bynum will be one of the premier centers in the league, just not in time to get some rings with Kobe. in other words, the years he reaches his prime doesn't correspond with the years Kobe is in his prime. |

| But I dunt think Baby Andrew can be as good as KG in future...i think 18-10-3(block). So Timberwolves ask for him, just let him go.We can also give Smush, Vlad Rad, and Sasha for KG |

damn... if Kobe had 7 or 8 strong years left, we'd be almost guaranteed a chanpionship some time... lol
7 or 8 years sounds ridiculous. Kobe will be in his prime until 33 years old. After that, little by little, his game will decline. (I wish he could play forever... ) |
