It's sad to see how many fans have turned on Luke. I believe he has sent a message to those fans but those "fans" will probably point out that he played well against a bad team. It would suck to be Luke right now, cause everything he does will get criticized, positive or negative.

Man, I didnt know luke got booed
that sucks, but remember it was a Clipper home game. Im not sure the Laker fans will booed him like kwame.
Luke just lacks confidence
he is great when he is relax and he knows that the game has been won already
he needs to have the same metality and play hard against teams that are elite because we really need him and his post up game.....I miss those post up moves and his baby fade away lol |

Hey, in the past I have always been one of Walton's biggest supporters, not because he was the most athletic and gifted players but because he was always one of the smartest players. When he had his longest stretch of great play he was hitting the outside jumper, and falling back in the top of the lane and around the elbow. When he came back after his last injury, for some reason he started backing in and posting up , and constantly getting his shots rammed back down his throat. And he kept doing it. This was dumb. He abandoned the game that had served him so well. Now, he seems to be going back to his old game. Finally. This is smart.

Its great and all that he got the team high in points, the problem is he seems to only have great games when the team is already up by 15 and it does'nt really matter anymore, he needs to step up and go on a 3 point frenzy when it matters, like tonight against New Orleans.

Luke is no more than a bench player. He excels during garbage time against the lesser teams. With Vlad playing better and Bynum and Ariza eventually getting back in the mix and also having Newble , I don't see Luke getting off the bench much during the playoffs. He just makes way too many bad decisions to risk major minutes in a playoff game.

no he played well against a bad team in garbage time. If he does what he did last night against the hornets i dont think anyone will criticize him. |

its one game(against the clippers by the way machine18) until he does that on a consistant basis hes still a bum. Luke has the size and brain to do what he did in the post last night also on a regular basis but he doesnt for what reason I dont know. Maybe the guy redeems himself in the playoffs but thats a BIG maybe.

Well, my thoughts about Luke? He can be a good player, BUT! he sucked for quite a few games this season. Too much party time when the Lakers are in town. BUT, when his brain has cleared up from all the partying, he can be a very good player. When he shows up all glassy eyed, then we know he can't hit the side of a barn.

Luke Walton- Solid passer, solid ball handler, decent post game. That's all, it's not bad, it's not great, it's what should be expected from a bench player. But when you hear " 6 years 30 million", you cringe knowing Walton doesn't deserve it.

I have noticed that....in the beginning I thought they were shouting "LUUUUKE" but after the first couple games I realized they were booing him. Luke does not deserve to be booed....I can only name two Lakers recently who I felt truly deserve boos. Kwame and Smushy.
