The Los Angeles Daily News -
Derek Fisher was in the lineup for the 74th time this season on Sunday, but the Lakers don't know what the near future holds for their veteran guard, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
An MRI revealed a partially torn tendon in his right foot, but Fisher aims to play through the discomfort. The common resting period for an injury of this caliber can range from six to eight weeks.
"We're still in a quandary about Derek, and what exactly is going to happen," coach Phil Jackson said. "Can he play through this? Is he going to have to take a rest period, or what? So, right now we're still in a quandary about how it's going to go."

As I said before without our guards at 100% we wont win it all. Offensively the triangle doesnt demand a top tier point guard but defensively is where we will get beat. Farmar would get chewed up if he has to at any point play big minutes against the PGs in the West. The pg and the power forward positions are where the West is strong and right now we are weak at those positions.

Play Sasha at point. Just have him bring it up and give it to Lamar and Kobe.

I think 4Lakers has it, we have to reduce Fisher's minutes and play Sasha more at PG. Hopefully Fish can live with that.

What Fish brings to that PG position that farmar and Sasha dont have is his defensive toughness. I think Sasha would get burnt on the pick and rolls which we already cant defend. We would be better off putting Ariza if he makes it back in time to help farmar. He so versitile when playing defense that he can contain the quick guards with his length.
