Quote By Phil Jackson:
“Well, I may look like I’m here to explain something, but I have nothing to explain,” Jackson said. “I can’t explain it, so don’t ask me any questions. It just looked like we were out of character, tremendously out of character, in more ways than one—irrational play at times, inconsistent at best, but just some poor judgments, poor decisions.”
phil needs to point a finger at himself for this one. granted our players played like garbage but phil is in no position to talk about poor decisions. I have never seen a human being as strong headed as phil who seriously refuses to alter things even when it seems like it will be beneficial. there was no freaking reason for him to take DJ out of the game the way he was playing. the guy was out there making good defensive plays yet you took him out and left Luke walton. I have come to the realization that even if Luke made a buzzer beater shot against his on team, phil will still jock on his nuts and reward him with playing time. completely unacceptable coming from such an outstanding coach. If not for anything, he should have rewarded DJ for his good play and let me stay on the court but not phil, he does watever he wants cus he dosent have to answer to it.
speaking about luke, he had the nerves to mention something about defense, are you effing kidding me.
"Our defense was terrible from the start,” Lakers forward Luke Walton said. “Every team has talented players. If you don’t show up ready to play, that’s what’s going to happen. There’s no excuse for us to come out on our homecourt and not take care of business"
luke how about the only business you have with basketball is you dad.....please us all a favor and STFU

I gree with you man
Why did phil really take out Mbenga??????????????????????????
the funny thing is that he brought kobe for him and left Lamar play center!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats why we lost
lamar got posted up and then they score like 5 in a row!
Phil should get as much of a blame as the players that didnt come to play for this game!!!!! |

| i don't like luke either. he always makes a great play weither its grabbing a rebound or getting a steal and once he does that he gets nervous like a high school player and turns the ball over and the other team ALWAYS scores after that. I honestly think i'm a better ball handler then he is. |

| Guys, stop bashing on Luke. This guy did what he had to do. Dont point the finger on one player only. Basketball is a team game. So if a team loses, then the entire team does and not just a single player. True, Luke has been playing some terrible basketball as of late, but to point fingers and assign blame on just one player is just irrational and illogical at best. The blame should go on the entire team. Leave Luke Walton alone. You guys are expecting way too much out of this guy. We all know that this guy is not capable of putting up all star like numbers, he is simply a key role player to this team. He still means a lot to this team because we are already shorthanded at that position. Plus injuries have plagued him. He has been having knee problems. When such injuries occur, it is almost impossible to perform at such a high level. He is no Kobe Bryant and therefore is unable to fight through these pains. He needs something positive for him to get going. Possibly something like making jump shots, which would have the opponents respect his game and from there he would be able to drive inside with more ease than before. I am not here to defend Luke Walton. But as a Laker fan, i support EVERY Laker player there is. It is what a true fan should be doing. Even when Kwame was here, i still supported him. Thats what the Lakers need, fan support and not fans hating and degrading players who underachieve or do not live up to their expectations. |
