ESPN -
Dirk Nowitzki, the NBA's reigning MVP, thinks it's time for Kobe Bryant to finally take home the trophy, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
"He's the best player in the game and he's never won it before. He's had his injuries, his team [has] had injuries and they're still right up there in the West. They just beat us without [Pau] Gasol and [Andrew] Bynum. I think this is his time," Nowitzki said. [READ] |

| Hey, it is against the rules to ask for votes. Just keep doing what you are doing, and you will earn votes. Don't worry, one day you will probably be a mod. |

You shouldn't be trying to ask for votes......

| Dirk is a cool guy. But I think he's saying this because he knew that Kobe deserved it last year when Dirk won it.. |

im not saying you to delete the account but one of the rules is:
5) Attempting to circumvent quality control systems such as the Reputation System. For instance creating another username and voting for yourself is strictly prohibited. Also giving negative votes to other members for no reason is prohibited. |

| Even last year's MVP says that Kobe deserves it this year. I don't get why people say he isn't MVP worthy after a few losses... |

i think the so called "experts" just hate kobe and use any excuse they can to not have him as the number one MVP candidate.
whether it be that his team lost a couple of games they really shouldnt have
or if its because they just realised that he has the most technicals in the league
or just because his team is no longer #1 in the west
but good on ya Dirk for telling the truth. Kobe deserves it because he is doing almost the same as CP3 with an injury plagued team. |

| If the reigning MVP is giving the heads up for Kobe, as is every other player, then there is no reason that he should be denied. I honestly think that even if the Lakers finished the season in 3rd place Kobe would still get the MVP for what he has done his entire career and especially this year, being able to take a team that was basically being written off as a lottery team and turning them into what can only be described as one of the scariest teams to ever play when healty. Just wait and see, when Drew and Gasol get back there will be no stopping us in the playoffs. Who cares if they only have one or two games to get used to eachother, great players are able to adapt to new environemnts quickly so it should be no problem, besides Gasol is already learning how to play the PF in the triangle so it shouldn't be a problem. Knowing this, it is going to be extremely hard to deny Kobe the MVP. Paul is a great player but it is not his time. |
