Keeping in mind cap, talent and best fit for team or chemistry....
my order:
1st: shawn marion- he brings veteran savy is still only 30 better rebounder then lo far better defender more athletic and can hit the open three consistantly and can slash and we can probably get him for a good price. also not to injury prone
2nd:Ron artest- he is probably the best defender on the list can hit the open shot too a little more injury prone then marion but he is a smarter offensive player also he ran the triangle when he was with the bulls and he is younger than marion has more years to play
3rd:gerald wallace- is only 25 is a very well rounded defender and is athletic i see him like a younger shawn marion my only knocks on him are he is not as proven and is injury prone. can he score 15-18 pts on la or is it because he is on a crapy team? that is why i have him third
4th:richard jefferson-is definitly the best offensive player on the list and because the calibar of these defenders is also probably the worst defender, though not bad. he is very injury prone and doesnt rebound like the other three and he has a HUGE contract and we would have to put in more fillers thus breaking the team up more 12 mil starting and for 4 more years going up! marions is more but if he opted out or sign and trade would be cheaper less years
1 and 2 i could go either way and any of these deals i feel would be better than odom not because of odom but because they fill a role that we need for our overall team needs..... what your thoughts? and feel free to add other players i didnt mention or your thughts on the players i did mention
artest cheepest best defender so i might lean towards him over marion |

| None of the above... all leave us without anyone to back up our center and power forward. With Odom, we have our 4 and 5 spots locked down. |

thats not true if we get artest the team looks like this
pg, fish,farmer,sasha
sg,kobe, sasha, artest
sf,artest,radman,ariza
pf,pau,ronny,radman,artest
c, bynum,dj,ronny
or because artest wants to play with odom we sign him for mle money then find someone to take walton or radman or turriaff mabe ronny s&t and (walton or radman) for sign and trade artest whatever that lineup would be unstopable odom as 6th man |

Shawn Marion is a no-no. He won't even be the third option on our team next year, and that's something he struggled with in Phoenix.
Ron Artest is a perfect fit, but the guy is a bit of a nutjob and I'm scared of what he would do to team Chemistry. I think as a player he's an ideal fit, but the more I think about him on the Lakers, the more nervous I start to feel |

Are you sure about Marion slashing and hitting the three consistently? I've never seen that, plus he is not a better rebounder than Lamar. Lamar's rebounds are from his great length, Marion's is from his quick jumping ability and that will go down soon within the next year I'm thinking due to him slowing down a little.
Gerald Wallace is injury-prone because of how hard the guy plays when diving for loose balls and I would love to see that in a Laker uniform. The other thing I like about Wallace is he'll post up a player and back them down to score on them, Artest does that also which to me means more flexibility for the team. Marion's post game is probably as strong as T.J. Ford posting up. |

Jefferson is great, but that huge contract....
Artest fits great, because his defense and overall game. I'd take artest. |

| Artest has been on good behavior lately compared to his days in Indiana. And Phil controlled Rodman with Jordans ego around so I think he can hold this down |

| Carmello Anthony. I'm not sure if he is, but there is tension and Denver may want to dump him. We'll take him. |

| Now I'm interested to know why you would think we needed Carmelo Anthony. |

we won't trade for Anthony, he'd be a nice help, but we have Gasol, who can play Anthony's role....
I see the Lakers trying to keep the team intact and opting for let lamar contract expire. |

| We should keep who we have. Anthony is the only person I would consider. Why do we need anyone else? We would have to trade our team to get someone decent, then we'll be in the same boat. Let's keep the team we have and hire a defensive coordinator . |
