Post comments/predictions here!
We need to come out of the gate and make a statement tomorrow. |

Defense is KEY against this GS team, or any team for that matter...I always say that the offense will come, but defense is what's going to lead to that offense
I don't quite understand why they just let GS shoot 3's, as if they think they're going to miss them. They just stand there daring them to shoot. I mean come on, that's one of GS strengths.
IMO the two defensive weaknesses for this Laker team has always been guarding the 3 and pick n rolls |

Injuries are a big part of that.
Ariza-Helps alleviate the 3 PT problem with his perimeter D
Gasol/Bynum-Big bodies that clog the paint which makes it harder for pick and rolls to be successfull.
I really hope we match up against GSW in the first round. Newble's PT should increase as he gets more adjusted to the system so he'll help out on the perimeter and with Gasol/Bynum back Ellis (or anyone else for that matter) won't be able to drive like they usually do. Honestly I think we'll crush them. Their drive-in game is basically eliminated, their perimeter shooting gets tougher, and they don't have any post-players aside from Biedrins and he'll get gobbled up by Bynum. |

So, Steven Jackson got hot. Give 'em props. We came back, showed character -- and believe me, if this were a playoff game with the same situation, we woulda won. It was kind of a pick-up-game moment when you realize you can win but, what the f***, why put your heart and soul into it? We made our point. Down 1 or down 30, we can always win. This is a special team. And we will be a special team for as long as Kobe stays, which will probly be for the next six years or so. This aggregation is mind blowing. Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Lamar "Mr. Double-Double" Odom, Vlad Rad, TRiza, Jordan Farmar, DFish, Rony Turiaf, The Machine....the list goes on and on. And a Hall Of Fame Coach.
So, let the little guys and Nellie win one. We will win today in Golden State. (Hey, what city exactly is Golden State? Is it next to Ore-Ida or part of Erotic City?)
Don't worry, we're Lakers! |

| We definitely had to win this one to make a statement against this team coz its posssible we will be meeting them in the 1st round of the playoffs. We dont wanna give them confidence come playoff time. So its best that we annihilate them on their own turf!!! |

Lakers are gonna come out hungry. They have a vengeance. Kobe will be on Capn' Jack, he'll be shooting bricks. Put Vujacic on Ellis. Vujacic is quick too, not lightning quick like Ellis, but quick enough. Vujacic plays good D too. Vujacic will be good enough to slow down Ellis. Let Baron play like he did and leave Odom and Turiaf to fight for the boards. And don't get me started by putting Kobe to that mix. I hope Coach P.J. reads this. |

I think the Lakers forgot how good and quick Golden State is. Once they had dealt with it for a half, they adjusted extremely well. I don't see any reason why they won't play the whole game like they played the second half. The coaching staff and players know what to expect. I can't imagine GS doing anything different from what they did yesterday.
Lamar needs to stay focused and dominate. No one on the GS squad can match up with him. Hell, when he is on, there aren't many players in the entire Association that can match up with him. |

| The Lakers should have won yesterday. I just don't understand how it slipped away. This proves that this Laker team can beat anyone without Gasol, Bynum, Ariza. What is it going to be like when they return? Watch out. No one knows how strong we are going to be. |

The tempo is the key with these guys and of course defense. When the Lakers came out in the second half and played at that slow grinding pace and played some nice team defense - the Warriors seemed to forget how to play basketball. The Warriors scored 72 points in the first half and only 43 in the second. Man, please Lakers LEARN from this.
The coaching staff was talking about tempo and getting caught up in "their game" for a couple of days and the guys come out and start trying to play small ball with the Warriors. If I was the coaches I would be so mad! You tell the guys over and over again not to get into a fast paced game and what do they do? Go right into a fast paced game. It's like the Lakers lost their minds in the first half. The coaches told them to go inside and the Lakers jack up long distance shots over and over again.
If we had played anything in the first half - like in the second half we would of won by 10 to 20 points. And please don't play Luke! I am one of the last guys to talk bad about one of the Lakers, but Luke is killing us. I would play Ira Newble and tell him just stay on Jackson - period. Don't do anything else. Don't worry about scoring or passing, just play defense and get some boards if possible. |

| I have a feeling the lakers will come out looking for revenge in the beginning, should be able to win this time instead of having to come back form 26 down. |
