    Quote:
Swingman Ira Newble has decided to sign a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, choosing them over the Cavs.

A source said the Cavs offered Newble a spot on the team Wednesday, but the two sides could not agree on certain terms of his return.

The Cavs traded Newble to the Seattle SuperSonics last month, but never gave away his locker. Newble was eligible to rejoin the Cavs on Tuesday.

The Cavs still have one open roster spot that they may fill by early next week.

Well you knew it was unlikely since Lakers want defense.

he´s a swingman, means he can play both shooting guard and SF

Luke is terrible. Newble has a decent jumper too. He can sometimes shoot the ball. Plays better D than Walton, man. So it's all good with me.

Where does it say that in lakers.com, man?

Can't find it. I'm fine with Kwame, only if we sign him for like 1-2M.

I actually like this signing. He is the perimeter defender, which we needed, since the injury to Ariza.

Yup! I agree with ya'all in here. This move is clearly directed at replacing Luke Walton in the line-up. To be honest, when Ariza comes back, I really don't see how Walton will even see a second of playing time.

I am excited by the move. Remember the finals last year? Newble was an enforcer on defense, protecting and setting fantastic picks for LeBron all over the court. And yes, he can hit a mid range jumper. He will do the same for Kobe and the Lakers.

Again, it's too bad about Walton. The kid is just DONE. Much like Kwame. And we are stuck with him for another 5 years at around 5 million a year! Oi vey! We can't even trade him if we wanted to.

I was so bum out cause i also wanted Gerald Green

BUt i put some thought and i realize that Green wont help us in the playoffs...or in defense
I heard he has really low bball iq

Newble is better than luke hands down
he can defend and score more than luke

the only think we need him to do is learn the triangle offense better to get more playing time

    ANd also think about this
he will be very fresh cause he took a short break
    not cause of injure
but cause he got bought out

I see this guy guarding Josh Howard, Grant Hill, Ginobli, Tracy

    he is big and strong

    and MOST OF All

HE HAS PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE WITH THE CAVS
