As good as the hype was early on the season, that Brian Cook deal seemed to have sucked the life out of Lamar and the bench mob. We are now back to square one - the stage where we started our foot coming into the season.

Lamar Odom is struggling and so are VladRad and Ronny. Ronny used to be the winning formula along with Kwame but that has changed since Kwame went down and Ronny injured his ankle.

The losses to Orlando and New Jersey were hard to take considering they were at home. Couple it with the blowout loss to the Okur-less and Boozer-less Jazz, and the one we lost to Milwaukee.

If we could not pull off wins from Eastern teams, how do we expect to beat the West's powerhouses?

Phil has experimented on his starting five for 3 straight games now. Putting Ronny and Vlade in and out seems to throw off the rotation. Farmar and Drew are solid and are both starter quality in my opinion.

The biggest paradox is Lamar Odom. He has gone from up to way down. Aside from showing up last night for 19pts and 17rebs, he has gone from semi-star to starless.

Its about time we gave the reins to Farmar and Drew (to develop them more and acquaint them of pressure-packed situations). Have Luke and Ronny start with Kobe, Farm and Drew.

Off the bench, we have Fish, Sasha or Crittenton, Lamar, VLade and Mihm.

Lamar will dominate the opposing team's backup 3, as will the new bench mob. Lamar can compensate the rebounding deficiencies of Mihm and VladRad as there is plenty of scoring and rebounding to go around with Kobe, Drew and Ronny on the starting five.

i would love to see that as well. a lot of LTBers here have been saying lamar belongs on the bench as an insult to him, but i really think it'd help our team. LO as our ginobili, essentially. plus he'd be allowed to "run" the second unit the way he wants, and as seen last season with the beginning of the season when kobe was injured, LO can do a lot more when he's not in the presence of KB.

farmar and bynum would get the playing time needed for their progressively improving games.

the only thing is that i do still like kwame in the starting 5 for his interior presence, but knowing he's GONE next year (unless we resign him for the minimum), i'd rather use this time to let andrew hone his skills.

Odom has been playing better lately. The thing with him is that he plays good at home, but struggles on the road. That's a fact. He needs to improve his game on the road. Also, we need our shooters to start making a high percentage of their shots, if that happens, we'd be in really good shape. We still have room to improve on our defense. I wouldn't mind if we make a trade that lands us Artest and Haslem.

I think it's a good idea. I don't think Lamar will ever come off the bench because of how much he makes in salary, but PJ should coach as if that was not a factor. Farmar and Bynum are sure fire stars in the making, and they are closer than anyone thought they would be by this point.

Warren- u hit the nail on the head. I've said in the past Odom should come off the bench and got responses similar to - It will never happen-that's crazy-and start who?Luke. Luke walton is a better facilitator than Odom and unlike Odom when the ball comes to Luke he demands attention because he can drive, post, or pass. Luke also moves better without the ball. LO would play better vs. the second team, but I think as a PF- he doesn't have the speed to beat a SF off the dribble, and he doesn't even post that much this year.
Farmar and Drew should both start for now- not that Fisher is doing anything wrong, but he doesn't get the break going like Farmar. Plus having Odom and Fisher with the second unit gives that squad alot of experiencerunmomg the triangle and definitely would help on the boards. When Kwame comes back, I still say give him the nod over Drew though.
Lastly- can we stop seeing Mihm play when Kwame comes back because it hurts my eyes to see this guy. He needs to be moved in our deal if we make one. I'd rather have almost anyone instead of this guy.

Farmar and Drew should lead the bench mob. Hopefully balance will be restored once Kwame returns to the starting lineup.
