The true importance of Pau Gasol to this Laker team. With out his constant effort and consistent play the Lakers look lost out there. He is the glue that keeps the team together. He is the guy that the Lakers look for when all else fails including Kobe. He is the most consistent player the Lakers have. And we the fans sometime take that for granted. He defends the paint better than all our players. Even though he plays a littler softer than I would want him to, he still creates massive match-up problem for opposing teams. I for one can’t wait to see him back because with out him I do not see this team going anywhere.

| Well, I do agree with you on Pau's consistency. I thought that last year Pau was our most consistent player, he rarely has bad shooting nights and the guy can be penciled in for 17 and 8 pretty much nightly, our team will continue to hurt without him there, he's just that good. |

| ^ Pau's pressence certainly is what makes this team elite. But we'll be fine while he's out. We got an easy early schedule filled with home games. |

No doubt Pau is a significant piece to the Lakers success and he is needed. Thankfully, there is enough talent to get us through the early schedule until he is fully healed. How many teams can lose a player of Pau's skill and just throw Odom into the lineup and keep going? Not many.
Pau is also the Lakers best passing big man from the post and he opens up opportunities that are not there right now. He makes the offense flow better when he is on the court. |

Well I think we are already witnessing what Pau Means to this team.
With out Him we dont make the FInals in 2 years in a row we dont even get shot to defend are title or even think about repeat this year.
He has great Skills for a Big Man his Passing his shots Selection He is the 2nd best score on this Laker Team and with Out him we are just a medoker team and not a CHampionship Team so that is How much He means to ME |

We need PAU back or soon enough we will get those trade rumors again. PAU is the heart and soul of this team. He does the dirty work without asking for any attention. He hardly ever has a bad night. He has the hieghest IQ on team. If not as important to team as kobe he is 1A right after him.

| We can manage better this season without Pau than we could last season. Last year if Pau was out then it was mandatory for Kobe, Drew and Lamar to have a good game to pull out a win. This year with Artest in the mix, it gives us another big time scorer to allow us to ride out an injury. The biggest thing getting Pau back does for us is deepens our bench (adding Lamar there) and the bench has been a huge problem so far this year. |

NO the biggest reason is that PAU is the most consistant player on the team, he brings in 20 and 10 dyay in and day out he causes other players aka Kobe, Andrew, fish, Odom to have an easier time on the court. He is the glue that holds all the sticks together.
