I am shocked and dismayed at this demonstration of intolerance by the people on this site!!!!!!!!!

We should all be filled with admiration because everybody can find a place to post their opinions on the web, even the profoundly retarded.

There is a reason why Iverson is called the &quot;Black Hole of Basketball&quot;! Once a ball is attracted into his gravitational field, no one ever sees it again...

I agree with Gemfow. This is just another rediculous story from a writer that is trying to make something out of nothing. More BS about Odom. Lamar already knew that he would be coming off the bench when Pau returned. Happy or unhappy that was his fate anyway.

Is that Drews fault, the team Dr's fault or the team trainers fault? Even the coaches could have insisted that he get treatment. Why put the entire blame on Drew?

chet6437. How much dope do you smoke a day. jordan overated and greedy. My man do not take this personal, but do your research on MJ. This man dominated basket ball in era where they actually played defense, not this so call defense you see today. When Jordan played the was hand check and your defender could crowd your space and get all in your grill.
Now as for your opinion of Jordan being greedy. You are wrong my man. It has been said by all of his teamates that this man took paycut after paycut to keep the bulls together and to add talent. He had a nice NBA contract do not get me wrong. However this man took paycuts. It was the bulls for the reason the bulls broke up, because mgmt, wanted to rebuild the team around Jordan and cut payroll. Jordan told them if they bring everyone back including Phil he would retire. He told them he would take another paycut and that he wasnt for starting over.
As for wilt chamberlin stats lol. My man did you say that Jordan played in era with not true superstar LMAO. What the waka Flaka you think Wilt played against. other than Bill Russel there was no 7ft Center athletic with wilt skills. better yet no big period.
As for he played in the NBA with no true superstar you maybe rite. if guys like John stockton, Carl Malone, PAtrick Ewing, David Robinson charles Barkley, Garry Payton, Clyde the glyde, Joe Dumars, Isiah thomas, Magic Johnson james worthy, I know Im still missing alot ore but at this time I do not to keep going I am sure you get the point.
Remember this my man after MJ won his 1st Nba championship. Not a franchise other than the rockets got a ring. How do you think the Rockets won two rings cause Jordan retired. And when the man came back they won 3 more in a row. No player a Guard at that has ever dominated the NBA. Before Jordan it was said that all franchise had to have a dominate big man to take them to the promise land. MJ is the reason why greats like some of those players I listed earlier never got a ring. If you think Jordan is overated Im sure you think Kobe is the god of basket ball.
He was a guard a man that carried his team with the soul of a giant. He changed the game of basket ball.
Now if Jordan never retired and the bulls did not seperate the team I pretty sure MJ would have 9-10 rings. Bet on it the rockets won two when he retired the 1st time. and the spurs and lakers got a ring after he retired the 2nd time now add that to the 6 he has.

So I thought I would post a little work out vid so from time to time you can go here and work out while you enjoy LTB. By the way, this work out really works, my, er... right arm is like Arnold Schwarzenegger

PatrickDelapaz: Hold up, usually I don't try to shoot down someone but I see a lame duck of a statement. How can you say Jordan needs to have his number retired and he has done this, that and the other when your page says you're 21? That tells me that you were 4 when he came into the league. That also tells me that you were seven when he won his first championship, you were nine after his first three rings. I'm sorry but you saying that he deserves to have his jersey retired by the league doesn't sound right to me because you grew up during an era of 90's basketball where there were games of 65-70 scores at the ends of games, where basketball was starting to go down again.

In all actuality where did Jordan actually take the league? After Magic and Bird retired the league started going down at the hands of Jordan. It's not entirely Jordan's fault but really the people, us fans were more excited about Jordan than we were about basketball and the teams themselves. So we started coming with the era of drafting super athletes with the hopes of them developing into a player like Jordan who combined athleticism with a strong will and fundamentals, we ended up with a league full of unfulfilled promises, players who couldn't shoot but could dunk. We ended up with a league full of one on one basketball and the teams sufferred and that's why scores were so low. I can say one thing that happened to bring the NBA back a little was the implementation of zones by Stern and crew, scores went up, the pg came back to basketball, people became interested in team play again.

How can you put Jordan up against anyone else when you have missed some of the best eras of basketball? If you're wearing Hanes, drinking Gatorade and watching Space Jam in a pair of Jordans then I would say you've had Jordan marketed to you and you were caught up in the machine.

... But the real crux of it is that illegal-defense rules in his era enabled Jordan to dominate absolutely in isolation on the wing – an option the NBA's legalized zones took away from Bryant.

</div></div>

Not a kobe/Jordan debate but this does beg the question....

People always say that kobe wouldn't have done as good in the 90s becuase all the physical play. I wonder how well young MJ would have done if he had to face a zone defense in the NBA, especially since in his young days he didn' thave teammates he trusted... Teams grounded in fundamentals, like the Utah Jazz of the mid 90s, would have had more success in containing MJ.

Allen Iverson reputation has made him a marked man. If he doesn't get his way, he will distroy a franchise. I doubt any team will pick him up. He should just retire.
