the pink unis would definitely make the bench look tougher, only because their expectations would be so dramatically lowered that it would create an illusion of 12 year olds playing above their potential.

How would that give them salary relief. The respective contracts are more or less the same. In addition, they trade a decent point guard for basically zilch point doodoo. It may come as a surprise to some, that though Vujacic is a big deal in the lair of the aging Cougars, and cruising Sunset Boulevard, he has no admirers around the League, and all the other franchises are quite content to leave us with this useless millstone around our neck while they chortle in their beers with glee. Nobody wants him, not even us! Vujacic is the archetypical deal-killer!

Yeah, they need to cut money for luxury tax, not exactly for the free agency of 2010, as you were probably thinking, although I do agree that if the Bulls got either a good offensive, low-post center, they could be really good, they're already good at every position, and having both Noah and Tyrus at PF would be deadly, depending on whether or not they'd like limited minutes.

Ha ha, I love how you described Sasha, although I feel that he's just about to hit his groove and get back his shooting touch completely, so I think we should give him a bit more of a chance. We gave Bynum a chance when he came back last year, and it took all the way until January for him to get in a good groove.

Although Bynum had a bad injury, Sasha did as well, minor maybe, but an injury none the less. We are still in the early part of the season and Sasha hasn't even gotten sufficient playing time to showcase his supposedly improved jump shot.

Farmar has just recently improved, so why not give Sasha a chance? I know he's only good for shooting, but who said that was a bad thing? That's how Kapono is, and Korver, and although they do make their shots, that doesn't mean you just write off a young player like Sasha who is just coming off a bad, regretful, painful season, with limited minutes.

A lot of hype broke out yesterday about the idea of former Massachusetts men's basketball player Tony Gaffney returning to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Laker forward Luke Walton is out for six months with a pinched nerve in his back. There are stories in the Press-Enterprise and LA Times about the possibility.

I really don't see this happening for a few reasons.

First of all, Gaffney is out with an ankle injury, which is why he's only played one game in Israel. It doesn't make much sense to have one injured player come in for another, especially when he can't play for another two or three weeks.

Another reason is that assuming the Lakers buy out his contract in Israel, he is going to be paid a decent amount of money to sit on the bench. Then when Walton comes back, there will be no room for Gaffney and he'll probably be cut again.

It just doesn't make sense for Los Angeles to essentially pay for two contracts of a player who probably won't get more than a few minutes of playing time just to make up for a lack of depth up front. I also have a hard time seeing Gaffney leave for the NBA just to play a few weeks and then having to find a new team to play for once Walton comes back.

The only way this rumor makes sense is if the Lakers offer him a guaranteed one-year contract, but if they are going to do that, why did they cut him in the first place?

I believe most of LTBers don't know what kind of pre-nup agreement was written up. So it does no good to criticize Lamar on something that is assumed. Maybe his lawyer done a better job then what we think.
The thing is Lamar seems to be very happy and has been attending various talk shows with his wife. They are already looking forward to having kids. It is his money, so I don't see any purpose on anybody else worrying about it.
And about Urkcle: He was out line.

NEWLYWED LAKER SELLING MANHATTAN BEACH DIGS

Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom has listed his Manhattan Beach home for $2,399,000.

Custom-built in 2002, the Mediterranean has an open floor plan, formal living and dining rooms, a family room with a hand-carved wet bar, three stone fireplaces, an office and a three-car garage. A round window brings light into the top of the two-story foyer. The house has five bedrooms -- some of which Odom used as closet space -- and five bathrooms in 4,181 square feet.

In the resort-like backyard, a stepped terrace off the back of the house leads to a built-in barbecue area, a gas fire pit and a swimming pool and spa. There are views of downtown L.A., the Hollywood sign and the mountains.

Odom, who turned 30 on Friday, bought the house in 2006 as a place to entertain his teammates, according to reports at the time. The location is convenient to the Lakers' practice center and the airport.

He recently married actress Khloé Kardashian, 25. Her "Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami" series, which started in August, is a spinoff of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (2007-present), on which she costars.

Odom, who started his NBA career with the Clippers in 1999, came to the Lakers in 2004 after a year with the Miami Heat. In July, he signed a four-year deal with the Lakers worth up to $33 million. Soon he can add reality-show star to his résumé. "Keeping Up With Karashians: The Wedding" will air Sunday on E!

Ed Kaminsky and Wendy Davis of SportsStar Relocation, Manhattan Beach, have the listing.

Crawford classic back on market

Talk-show host Leeza Gibbons has put her longtime Hollywood Hills compound on the market at $6.85 million.

The 11,137-square-foot Mediterranean is set behind gates on more than an acre of landscaped grounds. It was built in 1926 and was owned in the '40s by actress Joan Crawford. The main house has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms in three stories.

Gibbons, 52, remodeled and renovated the home, which has carved moldings, intricate wood-panel ceilings and extensive terraces. A detached guesthouse was added in 2000.

She hosts the nationally syndicated radio show "Hollywood Confidential" and had her own the daytime talk show "Leeza" from 1994 to 2000.

The property, which Gibbons has owned since the early '90s, had been on and off the market since 2005. She is selling because she would like to relocate to Beverly Hills, according to her listing agents.

Drew Mandile and Brooke Knapp of Sotheby's International Realty, Beverly Hills, have the listing.

Silent star first owned this estate

A 1929 Spanish-style estate in Bel-Air that traces its Hollywood history back to silent film star Colleen Moore is for sale at $15.95 million or for lease at $39,000 a month.

The gated compound sits on less than three-quarters of an acre. Three structures contain seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, two guest apartments, a projection room, an art studio and a gym in about 13,000 square feet. A two-story entry leads to public rooms, including a formal dining room, den and media room.

Moore, whose bobbed hairstyle would become a fad, frequently played comic roles on the silver screen. She starred as Annie in "Little Orphant Annie" (1918) while in her teens and gained fame as a young adult for her role as a flapper in "Flaming Youth" (1923).

As sound films caught on, Moore took a break from acting and frequently entertained at her Bel-Air home. A garden tea for educators was among the events held on the grounds in 1930, according to Los Angeles Times archives. Another reminder of her time in residence is a 1931 lost-and-found ad giving the home's address and stating: "Dog lost, Great Dane, male, light brown, small scar on forehead."

Moore made the move to talkies and starred opposite Spencer Tracy in "The Power and the Glory" (1933). Her final film was "The Scarlet Letter" (1934). She died in 1988 at age 87.
Pre-nup aggreement between Larmar Odom and Khloe Kardashian is shaking up an already predicted shaky relationship. The deck was stacked up against them from the start, with a very sudden and expensive star-studded wedding, not to mention the fact that they’d dated just over a month when they announced their engagement.
Of course he'll be absent while he travels 6months out of the year with the Lakers, she’s a Kardashian and constantly looking of ways to increase their ratings, put these two together and you’ve got a recipe for a disaster of a marriage.

RadarOnline now reports that sources close to the couple revealed that their attorneys are getting increasingly aggravated with Lamar Odom because he is reportedly:

“listening to advisers, and a group of hanger-on-friends about what the pre-nup should include. Lamar needs to man up, and stand up to these people, it doesn’t seem like they have the best interests of Lamar and Khloe as a couple at heart.”

Maybe its not that they don’t have Lamar and Kloeh’s best interest, maybe it’s that they’ve learned the lesson the hard way of not having a pre-nup and are trying to spare and prepare their friend from falling victim to similar fate.

If the couple is “so in love” then what is the problem? Isn’t a marriage about sharing everything, you know for in good times and in bad, for richer for poorer? Or does this only apply to ordinary couples.

We’ll never know. But one thing is true, pre-nups in Hollywood are a staple in the mega rich and the too often unstable and famous stars and their ever changing relationships.

Is the pre-nup a good idea? What's your take on it?
That invitation to Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom's wedding that Us Weekly and Star mag have isn't the real deal.

"The invite that is posted by Star is not the real invitation," Khloé's rep tells E! News. "Not sure where it came from but it's a fake."

Duh! First of all, that invite is hideous, and we like to think the Kardashians (who have two successful stores) have a good eye for style and design.

Secondly, the 'e' in Khloé's name on the alleged invite doesn't have an accent. This was a last-minute wedding, but we're sure the bride-to-be wouldn't allow the printers to misspell her name.

We have confirmed that Lamar's bachelor party is a go for tonight...

In addition to the bash at Les Deux being held by Joe Francis, there's also a dinner party at STK for the guys before they hit the club.

Check back for all the inside scoop from the boys' big night out!
